When exactly do I pay?
Only if you decide to accept an offer. Creating your account, applying and reading your answers cost nothing, and saying no costs nothing. From the moment a response is published you have five working days (Saturdays and Sundays not counted) to accept and pay; if the window closes, the offer simply expires and you owe nothing.
Is it really free to apply?
Yes, 100% free. Creating your account, completing your application and submitting it cost nothing. You pay one fee only if we get you a positive answer and you decide to accept it.
Which documents do I need?
Prepare: an identity document (passport or national ID), your diplomas and transcripts, a CV, a motivation statement, a recent photo, and any certificates or attestations you hold (language, professional or academic). If you are 16 or 17, also a signed parental consent. Some opportunities additionally ask for recommendation letters; we tell you when one does.
What is a positive response?
A documented education opportunity received from an institution: an admission offer or a scholarship decision. It can be conditional or unconditional.
Does PolyGrants handle my visa?
We prepare your visa file with you and guide you through the process, document by document, so nothing in it is missing or wrong when you submit it. The decision itself is always made by the country's authorities.

Applying
Starting your application, who can apply, deadlines.
How do I start?
Create a free account, then complete your application: your education, goals and preferred destinations. That is all; PolyGrants uses this one application for every opportunity that fits you.
Is it really free to apply?
Yes, 100% free. Creating your account, completing your application and submitting it cost nothing. You pay one fee only if we get you a positive answer and you decide to accept it.
Who can apply?
Anyone, from any country, who holds the diploma of the level below the one they are applying to. Age limits: 21 for Bachelor's, 30 for Master's, 35 for PhD; a few rare opportunities are open to any age. If you are 16 or 17, you also need the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
What grades do I need?
There is no single grade threshold. Each opportunity sets its own academic bar, and PolyGrants only matches your application where your results qualify. Strong results simply open more doors.
Do I need to speak English or French?
No language certificate is needed to apply. If a specific opportunity requires a language level, we tell you before anything is due.
When can I apply?
Applications for the 2026 intake are open from 1 July to 25 September 2026, closing at 17:00 London time. Apply before the closing date; late applications wait for the next cycle.
Can I apply while I am still studying?
You can create your account and prepare your file during your final year. To be matched to opportunities, you need the completed diploma of the level below the one you are applying to; submit as soon as you have it.
Can I choose several destinations and programmes?
Yes. Your single application holds several destination and programme preferences, and it is matched against every opportunity that fits. You can update your preferences between application cycles.
Can I change my application after submitting?
No: submission locks your file so we can work it. If a correction is needed, an adviser contacts you through Messages. If a cycle brings you nothing, your application rolls into the next cycle at no cost.
Is it PolyGrants, Polygrants or Polygrant?
All of them mean us. The name is PolyGrants: one word, with a capital P and a capital G. People searching often write Polygrants, Polygrant, Poly Grants or Poly Grant, and every one of those reaches this same organisation. The official website is www.polygrants.com.
What you need to apply
The documents and information to prepare.
Can I apply without a passport?
You can start your application with a national ID. A passport becomes necessary later, at the visa stage; start the passport process early if you do not have one.
My documents are not in English or French. What do I do?
Upload them as they are. If an opportunity requires a translation or legalisation (for example at the embassy of the destination country), we tell you before anything is due. These services may carry an additional fee, always shown in advance.
Do I need original documents?
For the online application, clear scans or photos are enough. Keep your originals safe: if you are admitted, originals must be presented for verification.
What happens if I submit false documents?
Your application is rejected, your account is permanently closed, and any offer obtained through it is void. PolyGrants may also seek legal action. If something in your file is wrong, tell an adviser: an honest correction is never punished.
Fees and payments
When you pay, how much, and how to pay safely.
How much is the fee?
Between USD 85 and USD 300. The exact amount depends on the destination country, the programme level, whether the response is a scholarship or an admission, and the services included. It is always shown to you before you accept.
Is the fee refundable?
No. Once you accept and pay (within the five working day window), the fee cannot be refunded: it pays for the answer we obtained for you, and the visa outcome does not change it. You never have to accept: saying no, or letting the window close, costs nothing. Payment mistakes are always corrected, and the Terms of Service list the rare exceptions.
How can I pay?
By mobile money, by bank transfer, or in person at a partner office. The available methods for your country are shown in your account when a fee becomes due.
Are there other costs?
Possibly, and always shown before you owe them: translation or legalisation of documents (for example at the destination country's embassy) may carry an additional PolyGrants fee. External costs (tuition, visa charges, travel) depend on your scholarship: some responses are fully funded, some waive tuition only, some cover part of the fees.
How do I pay safely?
Pay only through the payment instructions shown inside your PolyGrants account. A PolyGrants adviser will never ask you to send money to a personal account.
Responses and offers
What a positive response is and what to do with one.
What is a positive response?
A documented education opportunity received from an institution: an admission offer or a scholarship decision. It can be conditional or unconditional.
Am I required to accept an offer?
No, never. You read each answer, compare its conditions and decide freely. Saying no costs nothing; you pay only if you accept.
How long do I have to decide on an offer?
Five working days from the moment the response is published in your account; Saturdays and Sundays are not counted, and the exact closing date is shown with the response. Accept and pay within that window to secure the offer. If you do nothing, it simply expires and you owe nothing. Need help deciding? Message your adviser straight away.
When will I hear back?
There is no fixed results day. We work your file continuously after the cycle closes and message you in your account whenever there is news; timelines vary by institution.
What does 'conditional' mean?
The institution accepts you if you meet stated conditions, for example final grades, a language level or a deposit. Read every condition carefully before deciding; an adviser can walk you through them.
Visa and departure
After you accept: enrolment, visa, travel.
Does PolyGrants handle my visa?
We prepare your visa file with you and guide you through the process, document by document, so nothing in it is missing or wrong when you submit it. The decision itself is always made by the country's authorities.
What happens after I accept an offer?
Your account shows a clear task list: enrolment steps, visa preparation and a pre-departure checklist. An adviser follows your case until you board.
Why is South Africa currently unavailable?
Due to the sociopolitical situation in South Africa, student sending there is temporarily suspended. We will reopen the destination when conditions allow.
Account and security
Signing in, updating your details, your data.
I cannot sign in. What do I do?
Use the password reset on the sign-in page. If you still cannot get in, contact an adviser; never create a second account: one account per person.
Can I change my information after submitting?
Submission locks your application. If something must be corrected, contact an adviser; corrections go through Messages. Account details like your password can be changed at any time.
How do I reach an adviser, and how fast do you reply?
WhatsApp is the fastest channel: we reply the same working day during office hours. Formal case news always arrives in the Messages page of your account, so check it regularly.
How is my personal data protected?
Your documents and data are used only to prepare and submit your applications to institutions and visa authorities. They are never sold, protected with encryption and access controls, and deleted on request. The Privacy Notice explains everything, including your rights.
Complaints
When something went wrong and you want it fixed.
How do I make a complaint?
Contact us with the topic 'Complaint', by form, email or WhatsApp. Tell us what happened and what outcome you expect. Complaints go to a senior adviser, not the person you are complaining about.
What happens after I complain?
We acknowledge your complaint, investigate it and reply with a clear outcome. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you can ask for it to be reviewed at a higher level.
Still stuck?
No problem. Send us a message and we will answer you personally; in your language.
