The 2026-2027 application window was going to close on 5 September 2026. It now closes on 15 September 2026.
Ten more days. That is the whole announcement, and if you read nothing else on this page, that is the date to write down. The window still runs from 1 July, it still closes, and it closes on 15 September.
What changes, in one line
One thing changes: the closing date. Everything else about the 2026-2027 intake is exactly where it was yesterday.
If you have a half-finished application open right now, this is ten days you did not have this morning. Spend them on the parts of the file that depend on somebody else, a stamp, a signature, a transcript, because that is what a deadline really takes away from you.

Why the date moved
More students are still finishing their files than the original date allowed for. Documents take longer to obtain in some countries than in others, a transcript can sit for weeks in an administration that is not in a hurry, and a good application arriving on 12 September is worth more to everybody than a rushed one arriving on the 4th.
So the window was extended by ten days, once. Plan around 15 September, not around the hope of another extension.

Leave a few days for a real review and for the corrections it asks for. A file read in the last hour cannot be improved.

The window closes
After this date the 2026-2027 intake is closed. Late is late, and no service can reopen an institution's cycle.
What does not change
- Applying is still 100% free, from sign-up to submission, questions included.
- One application still covers every destination and every scholarship that fits your profile. You do not apply fifteen times.
- The age caps are 21 for a Bachelor's, 30 for a Master's, 35 for a PhD, and a few opportunities accept any age.
- Applicants aged 16 or 17 still need parental consent.
- No language certificate is required to apply.
- The PolyGrants fee of USD 85 to 300 still exists only if a positive answer arrives and you decide to accept it, and the exact amount is shown before you decide.
If you have already applied
Do nothing. Your application is in the queue with the date you sent it, and the new closing date takes nothing away from it. If an adviser needs a document or a clarification, the message comes to you on WhatsApp, in your language, during opening hours.
If something in your file has changed since you sent it, a new address, a new certificate, a new result, tell an adviser rather than starting a second application. One student, one file.
What it costs to use the extra days
Nothing. Applying is 100% free from sign-up to submission, and the answers you get along the way are free too. One PolyGrants fee of USD 85 to 300 exists only if a positive answer arrives and you decide to accept it. The exact amount is shown before you decide, you have five working days to think about it, and saying no costs nothing. Once accepted and paid, that fee is not refundable.
Tuition, visa charges, tests, translations, insurance and travel are external costs, paid to institutions, governments and providers, never to PolyGrants. Admission decisions rest with institutions and visa decisions rest with the authorities, so no service can guarantee either. What a complete, honest file does is put every chance on your side, and ten extra days is a real amount of time to make yours complete.

What is the new deadline for the 2026-2027 intake?

Will the date move again?
It already has, once more: since this article was published the deadline moved to 25 September 2026. Plan as though it will not move again. Institutions have their own cycles that PolyGrants does not control, and a file finished before the deadline is safe; one finished after it is not.
I already submitted. Do I need to do anything?
No. Your application keeps its place with the date you sent it. Keep WhatsApp available in case your adviser asks for a document or a clarification.
Can I still start from zero and finish in time?
Yes, if you start now. The form itself takes an evening or two. What takes real time is the documents, because they depend on other people, which is why the checklist is the first thing to open.
